The Miami Dolphins handed rookie starlet, Tua Tagovailoa, his league debut in their Week 6 bout against the New York Jets. The former University of Alabama player came off the bench to replace the veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick in the 24-0 win over the Jets.
He did not get a chance to show the full extent of his skill-set; however, that is seemingly about to change in the coming weeks.

As per NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Dolphins will name the Hawaii-born quarterback as their starter in Week 8. NFL veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick will assume the role of the backup quarterback moving forward.
The Dolphins have been given a ‘Bye’ this week. Head Coach Brian Flores will use this time to hone the finer details of Tagovailoa’s game.

He underwent surgery for the same and was ruled out for the rest of the season. The Dolphins took the risk and drafted Tagovailoa as the fifth overall pick in this year’s NFL combine.
In 3 years with Alabama, Tua threw for more than 2,800+ yards with 33 passing TDs to his name. Before his injury in 2019, the youngster had a passer rating of 206.9,
