The ‘Tua Tagovailoa fable’ has a new chapter. The highly-rated rookie finally made the first start of his short NFL career against the Los Angeles Rams today.
The University of Alabama product endured a tough outing in the first quarter with a forced fumble at the hands of Rams defensive great Aaron Donald. Robert Woods turned that into a touchdown a few moves later.
However, Tua Bounced back with the first TD of his Miami Dolphins career. Veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was one of the few people who came up to Tua after the latter scored the first TD of his NFL career.

Tua Tagovailoa impresses on first NFL start for Miami Dolphins
The 2020 first-round pick went 12 of 22 with 93 yards and the above TD to his name. However, he did enough to secure a 28-17 win against the Rams at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.

Despite the success of Tua’s debut, Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores will be more impressed by the way his team defended over the course of the game. Defensive lineman Christian Wilkins pulled off a brilliant interception in the first quarter, which helped Tua score his first touchdown just before the end of the first quarter.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is 5-of-11 for 34 yards and a touchdown, and Miami is up 28-7. And that perfectly illustrates why this was the perfect spot for Brian Flores to turn to Tua.

The 22-year-old will be grateful that the Dolphins defense stood their ground today or else the game would have gone down to the line. However, there were enough positives to indicate that Tua will do just fine in the NFL this season.
