Earlier this month, in a chat with the media as per Seahawks.com, the Super Bowl XLVIII winner reacted to the alleged murder of George Floyd. His latest comments are a clear sign that he is pushing for change now. The 31-year-old even highlighted his own brush with racism a few days after helping his side to Super Bowl glory. He stated that it exists all over and isn’t restricted to certain parts of the country.

Wilson isn’t the only voice to call for change. There have been multiple NFL stars who condemned the incident. An NFL players video by black players including Odell Beckham Jr and Patrick Mahomes prompted NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to condemn the systemic racism. He also announced a massive donation under the league’s Inspire Change initiative.
