Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have their playoff dreams well and alive. After coming off of a bye week and a win before that against the Bears, A-Rod seemed to be in a good mood. He came to the Pat McAfee Show after his surprise absence last week. And the QB had a lot to say about his former teammate and star wide receiver for the Raiders, Davante Adams.
29-year-old Adams was not sure about Aaron Rodgers’ future in Wisconsin. And he packed his bags and joined former college teammate Derek Carr in Las Vegas this off-season. However, things are peachy between Rodgers and Davante and the two are constantly in touch, according to A-Rod. And one thing is for sure. Aaron Rodgers really misses his best wide receiver.

Aaron Rodgers’ Another Year With Packers Could Trash 3 Years of Hard Work
Davante Adams has been performing at his peak despite the Raiders being in a complicated spot this season. And Aaron Rodgers couldn’t help but notice the show Adams has been putting on lately. “ We talk weekly,” the reigning back-to-back NFL MVP said about Davante. “He’s the best receiver in the league. He should be the focus of every defense that he plays against. It’s just a matter of, at times, calling plays for him. And giving him the opportunities. If he hits his targets and he gets the run and you know, runs his routes, he’s gonna put up numbers doesn’t matter who they’re playing against.”

The Green Bay Packers are 5-8 this season with an array of losses to teams that A-Rod usually has a hold on. Yes, he may still own the Chicago Bears. But Davante’s absence has hurt the Packers’ offense, who couldn’t enjoy the services of Romeo Doubs either. Rodgers and Co. rank 16th overall in the offensive rankings after Week 14 of this season. However, it could have been a lot worse if not for rookie wide receiver Christian Watson. Watson had 7 touchdowns in his last 4 games with 313 receiving yards to give some hope for the season.
But Rodgers’ former offensive weapon, Davante Adams, is in a league of his own. The 9-year veteran receiver leads the NFL this season with his 12 touchdowns and ranks 3rd in receiving yards (1247) behind Justin Jefferson and Tyreek Hill. Adams made a one-handed miraculous end zone catch in the victory against the Los Angeles Chargers that made the NFL sit back in awe.
