Tyreek Hill is the latest Kansas City Chiefs player to initiate ‘dynasty’ talks in recent weeks. Patrick Mahomes was the first one to bring the idea up for debate.

He did so after he signed his multi-million 10-year contract extension earlier this month. Mahomes’ deal is the largest-such NFL deal in the history of the league.

Highly rated defensive tackle Chris Jones was the next to pen a long-term extension with the Chiefs. Andy Reid is hoping to leave a legacy just like Bill Belichick and Tom Brady left with the New England Patriots over the last two decades.

“Well, I’m not gonna say he’s telling a fib. But Chris Jones, he’s definitely a man of his word, and we’re definitely creating something special here in KC, so I don’t see why not.

“Why say five? Why not go seven rings? Right now we’re just chasing (Michael) Jordan, so that’s what we do. So I’m going over five, and I’m saying seven,” Hill told ESPN in a recent interview.

Just like Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill, Jones seems determined to build something great in Missouri over the coming years.

“We plan to have another parade and another parade and another parade. We’re going to make sure we bring not one, not two, not three, not four, but five-plus rings to Kansas City.

“It’s been 50 years of waiting, but the wait is over now. It’s time to create a dynasty,” Jones said.
