DeAndre Hopkins ended his seven-year stay with Houston Texans earlier this year. The 2013 first-round pick (27th overall) along with a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft were traded to the Arizona Cardinals. In exchange, the Texans got running back David Johnson, a 2020 second-round pick, and a 2021 fourth-round pick. This deal has been criticized by many football fans, some even going to the extent of calling it the worst deal in recent NFL history.

Hopkins is undoubtedly one of the most feared wide receivers in the NFL at the moment. The South Carolina-born athlete completed 104 receptions and rushed for 1,165 last year as the Texans bowed out in the playoffs.

“You can actually showcase your skillset in an offense like this. The conversation with Kliff and I is winning, and doing what we have to do to win.

“I think, obviously, he’s matured in this offense, and I’m new to it but he’s doing a good job of keeping me up to par with things and also the other guys around me. But, I think we will have time to develop chemistry once we kind of get out there and throw a little bit more against the defense. I think that it’ll help.

“Obviously, we don’t have a lot of time to get ready. So, every rep really counts, but I think Kyler’s mindset is we’re gonna make it work. So, that’s my mindset, as well,” Hopkins said via the NFL Network.

Murray had a decent NFL rookie season with the Cardinals last time out. However, there have been some criticisms that were directed towards him, especially regarding his role in the shotgun formation. Murray was sacked 48 times last year. The former Oklahoma Sooners man who won the Heisman Trophy in 2018 will also be happy to have a deadly weapon at his disposal in the form of DeAndre Hopkins.
