Randi Mahomes made headlines in April. She recalls the times she spent with her daughter, Mia as they attempted to seek shelter from a tornado warning at a Texas fast food place. According to Mahomes’ mother, the restaurant’s lights went off, and nobody let them through during the storm. She even got a bruise from hitting the door and clinching her daughter. Randi also says she’s never been more terrified.

Despite the horrifying situation, she doesn’t blame the fast food venture for not letting them in. Randi believes the people inside thought the banging sound was from the winds and thunderstorms. Mia also asked her mother if they could pray to God while they stood waiting for the catastrophic event to pass. Being outside during a tornado warning is terrifying, and Randi and Mia were fortunate to survive the frightening episode.
