Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has done the unthinkable and outdone expectations, sealing a spot in what will now be his 10th Super Bowl appearance.

The veteran shot-caller put in a hell of a shift to seal a nervy 26-31 win over Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship. He went 20 of 36, throwing for 280 yards with 3 passing touchdowns.

Despite throwing 3 interceptions, the Bucs defense did enough to stop the #1 ranked offense in the league led by the brilliant Aaron Rodgers.

The former New England Patriots man received rave reviews that saw him lift the NFC Championship trophy in his debut season with Tampa Bay.

Former New York Giants star, Eli Manning, was the latest to laud Brady, who shows no signs of slowing down at the age of 43.

Eli Manning famously won 2 Super Bowls while playing for the Giants. One of them came when he beat a star-studded Patriots team in 2007. Bill Belichick’s boys from 07 ‘ remain the only NFL team to go unbeaten in the regular season.

However, they suffered a loss in the Super Bowl at the hands of Eli Manning and Co. Manning maintains that Brady still brings up that loss from time to time.

“It’s one of those things, it’s not something I ever say or ever think a lot about. I’ve been around Tom numerous times, and I’ve never brought up a Super Bowl or our games versus them.

“He actually brings it up. It still bothers him a little bit, especially the ’07 one when they had the chance to go down as the greatest team of all time.

“But I don’t have any bragging rights with Tom. This is his 10th Super Bowl, and I’m so impressed with his whole career,’’ the Giants legend said via NY Post.

Eli Manning highlights Tom Brady’s leadership abilities

Manning went on to talk about the ‘ripple effect’ that Brady has made since his arrival in Florida. The 43-year-old veteran has managed to instill a winning culture in the Tampa Bay locker room, which is evident in how the team plays on the field.

Eli said, “It’s really impressive what Tom’s been able to do. Just the fact, changing teams after 20 years, with one team where you’ve had so much success and going to a new team, new city, new state during a pandemic, where you have a shortened off-season and different rules and kind of get the same results.

“Getting back to a Super Bowl, at age 43, yeah, it’s so impressive. It was hard to think that was going to be possible. He’s obviously got a special demeanor and a special ability to get guys to rally around him,” Manning added.

Brady and Co. will become the first team in NFL history to host a Super Bowl game in front of home fans. The Pirates will welcome defending champions, Kansas City Chiefs, at the Raymond James Stadium in Super Bowl LV. Make sure to tune in!
