Lamar Jackson is now 1-2 in the playoffs. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback has finally broken the jinx. Silencing his haters with a win over the Tennessee Titans in their own backyard, Jackson and the Ravens have entered the Divisional Round in style. 

Jackson recently made history by becoming the first quarterback to rush for 1,000+ yards in consecutive seasons. And it looks like he is finally ready to take forward some of that regular-season form into the playoffs.

Jackson came into the game prepared to overturn his playoff record. Despite winning the MVP award in 2019, he drew a lot of criticism for choking in the Ravens’ playoff game against the Titans. 

A man on a mission, Lamar took to the field with a goal to silence his critics; he did so in spectacular fashion.

With the Ravens trailing the Titans 3-10, Lamar collected the snap at the Tennessee Titans’ 48-yard-line. Once he had the ball, there was simply no stopping the quarterback.

Lamar Jackson’s Insane Rushing Touchdown is the Longest One in Quite Sometime

The Titans failed to lay a finger on Lamar Jackson as he dodged past multiple challenges and rushed the ball in for the biggest play of the game. 

Incidentally, Lamar’s 48-yard-run was also the longest postseason touchdown play in 7 years. The previous longest run was by then Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount, who rushed for 73-yards back in 2014.

With the jinx now behind him, Lamar Jackson will be hungry for more playoff wins. In the game against the Titans, Jackson hardly put a foot wrong. 

The quarterback showed that he now possesses the maturity that one needs to take a franchise all the way to Super Bowl success.

The Ravens last won the Lombardi Trophy back in 2013, courtesy of a 34-31 win over the San Francisco 49ers. But Lamar Jackson will be determined to change that soon.

With either the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs or the high-flying Bills next, Lamar Jackson will be ready to take on whoever stands in his way to the Super Bowl.
