Last year, while speaking in an interview after her first match at the Australian Open, Williams revealed that Brady’s dedication to pursuing the sport at this age encourages her to continue beyond 40.
“Tom Brady is in my age group, so it’s exciting,” she said. “He’s amazing, to be competing in one of the biggest championships in the world at 43 is unheard of, and it’s super-inspiring for me at my ripe young age of 30-something,” Williams narrated in hurry.
It was a Super Sunday, and Tom Brady-led Buccaneers were taking on the Mahomes-led Kansas City, and being a football fan herself, Williams couldn’t hold back her emotions.
