After his Laver Cup 2019 defeat to Roger Federer, Nick Kyrgios was frustrated with kind of questions raised in the post-match press conference. While playing Federer, towards the end of the second set, the journalist perceived that the Australian was not putting in efforts.

He lacked the skill of the shot selection, lacked power, discipline or confidence and he interrogated him to explain what went wrong at that instant. Upon receiving this question Kyrgios was annoyed. According to him, he gave his best, but his opponent outplayed him.

“Probably just had to do with something that I was playing someone that’s probably the best to ever play the sport. I don’t think it was a lack of shot selection or lack of discipline or lack of power or lack of anything. I think the guy I was playing was just pretty good. Don’t you think so? Yeah. It’s a pretty bad question, to be honest,” Kyrgios said.

However, during that set, Kyrgios uttered that he lost concentration in the match because he saw a hot chick in the audience and wanted to marry her.

Following the to that question, another journalist took the Australian through three unbelievable points which Roger Federer played in the tiebreaker and asked whether those points stick to mind.

Once again, a displeased Nick Kyrgios replied “yeah, he played them all. I mean, I’m not going to sit here and continually say he’s the best, he’s the best, he’s the best. Yeah, he’s good at tennis, yes. He played unbelievably. He was way too good for me today. Can we, like, ask a different question?”
