Novak Djokovic To Be Felicitated With a Museum in Serbia

Serbian World Number one, Novak Djokovic will be honored a museum in his nation’s capital, Belgrade. Djokovic’s father, Srdan Djokovic informed about its inauguration in the year 2020. The museum will be situated in one of the most valuable landmarks of the city of Belgrade, called, Knez Mihailova Street.

Certainly, there has been a demand for a ‘Novak Djokovic’ museum especially from the tourists who visit the capital city. “We are going to open the museum at the center of the city. There is a huge interest on the part of both local and foreign tourists, particularly Chinese. Novak is highly popular in China,” Srdan addressed the Radio Television of Serbia.

Novak Djokovic is certainly termed as the real GOAT of tennis, the Serb holds an upper hand against his arch-rivals, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in their head to head matchups. He defeated both of them on their preferred Grand Slam surfaces. Also, his mental toughness is superior to the other two in the ‘Big Three’. The ‘Fedal’ dominance on the men’s tour was menaced with the advent of the Serb.

His father reflected upon the see-sawing Wimbledon 2019 final match between Federer and Djokovic, where the outcome of the match was unpredictable until the final point was played.

“What happened a few weeks ago at Wimbledon was a fantastic thing. He has shown once again that he is a mental boulder, made of the hardest rock possible, not only physically but also mentally. With his unprecedented mental strength, he has been able to get that horrible tough match,” Mr. Senior Djokovic added.

The year 2008, was the year of Serbian tennis as the present World Number one, Novak Djokovic made his Grand Slam breakthrough in Melbourne and the former World Number one, Ana Ivanovic lifted up the French Open 2008 title.

They were the very first major champions from the second world nation Serbia and with their tennis prowess, they put their country on the world map. That year, Djokovic also won the Olympic bronze medal in Beijing.

Novak Djokovic announced about his non-participation at Rogers Cup 2019, and the World Number one will entering the Cincinnati Open 2019 as the defending champion before he begins his chase for his 17th Grand Slam title at Flushing Meadows, New York.
