ONE Championship Supremo Chatri Sityodtong Announces ‘Long-Term Relationship’ With MTGP UK to ‘Expand the Sport of Muay Thai’

The Home of Martial Arts has another partner to hike up their already stacked roster. ONE Championship has signed a deal with one of Europe’s leading combat sports promotions, MTGP (Muay Thai Grand Prix) UK.
The two companies will work together to get Muay Thai fighters from Europe to showcase their skills and win the ultimate prize – a six-figure ONE Championship contract. More specifically, eight prizefighters will compete in Muay Thai bouts across two separate weight divisions to get a contract worth $100K.

After announcing the second season of The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition, this would be another huge announcement coming to the ardent ONE Championship fans.

ONE supremo, Chatri Sityodtong, showed his excitement for the MTGP UK deal. Besides, it provides the young Muay Thai phenoms with a unique opportunity.
“I’m simply amazed at how much Muay Thai talent there is in the UK,” said ONE CEO and Chairperson. “That’s why I’m so pleased to announce this partnership.”
Even CEO of MTGP UK, Philip Tieu said, “I truly believe the two companies are a perfect match.”
“Working with Chatri Sityodtong, it will only expand the sport of Muay Thai even further and take it to new heights,” he added.

This deal ensures that ‘The Home of Martial Arts’ will bring 12 annual events to the American audience in their prime time. Besides, ONE is already hosting a couple of events per month which showcase Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Submission Grappling, and MMA fights on the regular basis. And this deal will make the American audiences’ life easier to tune in to the best martial arts spectacle in the world.
