Former Indian opener, Gautam Gambhir, who has become a politician now has shared a video on his Twitter where he took a dig at the security arrangements made for the Sri Lankan team on their ongoing tour in Karachi for the limited-overs series against Pakistan.

Sharing the video, which is expected to have been recorded by a Pakistani citizen, Gambhir tweeted: “Itna Kashmir kiya ke Karachi bhool gaye.” In the video, two men, sitting in a car, seem to be mocking the level of security that has been appointed for the ongoing three-ODI series against Sri Lanka.

They shared how the government has almost created a “curfew-like situation” for organizing cricket in Pakistan. Over 20 vehicles with armed force were there for Sri Lanka as they were heading for the National Stadium in Karachi for the second ODI which eventually Pakistan won by 67 runs on Monday.

However, the Sri Lanka team is under Presidential level security for the three-match ODI and the then the T20I series.

Gautam had earlier tweeted: “Sportspeople are supposed to be role models. Of good behaviour. Of Team spirit. Of ethics. Of the strength of character. Recently in the UN, we also saw a former sportsperson speak up. As a role model for terrorists. @ImranKhanPTI should be excommunicated from sports community”.
