Manchester United star-man Paul Pogba has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer. And the Frenchman’s agent Mino Raiola has confirmed that he is trying to force an exit from the English club.

Paul Pogba had a promising last season with Manchester United as he became their top-scorer with 15 goals from midfield. However, the 26-year old’s form faded towards the end of the season as the Reds went trophy-less for a second consecutive season as well as failed to qualify for the Champions League with a 6th placed finish in the Premier League.

The 2018 World Cup winner is reportedly unsettled at the club, with interest from Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid stepping up in his pursuit.

Super-agent Mino Raiola, who was recently released from his transfer activity ban, spoke about the much-speculated future of Paul Pogba. “Everyone within the club [United] from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes,” Raiola said.

“Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are,” he added.

Paul Pogba has not yet joined the Manchester United preseason camp as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has granted the Frenchman extra rest going into the next season. He is expected to fly for the club’s Australia tour but Raiola has casted doubt on the same. “I cannot tell you anything. I live day by day,” he said.

Real Madrid, who have already spent close to €350m this summer with the acquisitions of world-class talent such as Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, look to add Paul Pogba to the fray ahead of next season. Los Blancos had a forgettable season both domestically and in Europe, but their summer activity is indicative of their serious intent to win back the Champions League title.

Paul Pogba’s contract at Manchester United expires in 2021 with an option of extending for one year. The midfielder, therefore, will cost around the same fee of €105 million which was paid by United when they signed him from Juventus back in 2016.
