The entire golf community is excited as the calendar has entered April. The next stop on the schedule will be at the Augusta National for the 2021 Masters. Fans are massively anticipating to witness the spectacle unfold, but it is unfortunate that Rickie Fowler will be watching the tournament from home instead of competing in it.
Rickie Fowler has not been at his best in recent months. For a player who once dominated the on tour with his flair, it just doesn’t feel right that Fowler is no longer the player he was. While he can still regain the lost touch, the 32-year-old looks in despair at the moment.

While the 2021 Masters invites the world’s best golfers to Augusta, Rickie Fowler will not play the tournament this year. The reason why he is ineligible is because he hasn’t qualified for the Masters this year.
The prestigious Major has several criteria that make a player eligible to play the tournament. Rickie Fowler unfortunately did not match any of it this year and hence hasn’t been invited to the 2021 Masters.

Fowler has garnered a lot of fans over the years and they would be dejected that he won’t be a part of the field at Augusta this year. In fact, the Oklahoma State alum will end a major career streak by not playing in the 2021 Masters.
As a professional golfer, Ricke Fowler has played every Major championship since 2010. To be precise, he has played in 42 consecutive major tournaments, but the count won’t increase to 43 due to his 2021 Masters snub.
It is the first time since the 2010 U.S. Open that Rickie Fowler will miss a major championship. He had built up a massive reputation with this record, but it all comes crashing down in 2021 due to his poor run of form.
How has Fowler performed in recent events?
Fowler emerged onto the scene in 2009 as a future star in the making. While he did live up to some of the expectations, Fowler is yet to win a Major. His most recent PGA Tour victory came at the 2019 Waste Management Open in Phoenix.

As for his recent results, Fowler took part in the Valero Texas Open and finished tied for 17th place. This was an event he had to win in order to secure a Masters invite, but a first-round 76 drilled the nail on his hopes.
However, this was a comparatively good performance from Fowler as he finished 65th at the preceding Honda Classic and missed the cut at the 2021 Players Championship.

Rickie Fowler would be unhappy with the rough patch that he’s going through. But he is not willing to give up is continuing to fight to claim the golden reputation that he once enjoyed on the tour!
