DeChambeau played a charity event with Aaron Rodgers, Phil Mickelson, and Tom Brady. After the match, when DeChambeau was getting in a chopper, he smashed a few punches in the air like a fighter. And that’s what triggered Max Homa as he posted a tweet taking an indirect dig at Bryson.

The tweet said “this is why I say professional golfers shouldn’t ever fight. We’re barely considered athletes as it is. We can’t be giving people any more ammo against us.” Homa even received some stick from the fans who believed that it was just a promotional video and it shouldn’t be taken seriously.

The tweet highlights the long-standing debate of ‘if golfers should be considered real athletes.’ Many people don’t consider golf players as athletes, as they say, golf as a sport doesn’t require any athletic abilities from a player. But, mostly all golfers are against this statement as they believe golf requires athleticism from players.

Bryson DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers locked horns against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady for a charity match on July 6. The 27-year-old DeChambeau and the Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers defeated the 51-year-old Mickelson and the NFL legend Tom Brady on the 16th hole itself.
