Venue: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia.

Preview-

After a disappointing week that saw the Nuggets slip from second to fourth in the Western Conference, they would be looking to bounce back and make a statement against the Philadelphia on Tuesday. The Nuggets have won only one out of their last four games. They lost to the Lakers, Celtics and Nets in that period, and managed a victory against New York Knicks. This run saw their record in the season slip to 14-7.

On Tuesday, they will be travelling to Philadelphia to face a sixers that are yet to lose at home. Their home record of 13-0 is unmatched in the league. After an up and down start to the season, they have won eight of their last 10 games. This has improved their season’s record to 17-7 and placed them fourth in the Eastern Conference. They will be looking to extend their win record at home on Tuesday, but it will be far from straightforward against a solid Nuggets side.

To get a win on Tuesday, the sixers will have to go past the best defence in the league. They will want the likes of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid to come good. Simmons will be high on confidence coming into the game having recently scored a career-high 34 points against Cleveland Cavaliers.

But they will be up against Nikola Jokic, who has an influential presence on both sides of the court. If the Nuggets manage to keep up their good defensive work, the likes of Paul Millisap and Jamal Murray, along with Jokic should manage to outscore their opponents.
