PlayStation 5 event went live on June 11th, revealing all the details we were looking forward to. While most of the games shown were more or less expected, some stood out. Most of these games look out of the box for the first viewing. To choose the best games that we have seen in the reveal is perhaps the most difficult choice.

The promise was to deliver a range of games which are next-generational. The console itself is beyond anything we have seen, and to top it off, the smartest controller on the planet. While some of the games that were shown are PlayStation exclusives, others like GTA V were not.

To start off with the games that stood out from others, we need to divide them into sections. This one focuses on the games that everyone should give a try.

Demon Souls – Fans of the horror genre, this game reminds us of the earlier versions for sure. However, the developers decided to remake it entirely for PS 5. The trailer began with serene visions of nature, only to shock us with an image of a corpse being carried by a dragon. The character design reminds us of a mythical age of super creatures. The fire-breathing dragon, the armed gauntlet knight, the grim reaper with the scythe. Everything reminded us of medieval concepts modernized by the visual aspects.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – Another most expected game from PS 5 is Ratchet and Clank. From the trailer, we could see that the developers have pushed it to the extreme limits of PS 5 specifications. Resolution, lighting, everything looked extremely balanced. The main focus of interest comes with the next dimensional time jump.

Project Athia – The plot centers around the action-adventure genre. This is one of the games using the maximum capacity of Unreal Engine 5. A world full of threats that resemble the medieval and the modern. The creatures ranged from fire breathing dragons to armed knights. The game looks more than just promising with perhaps the best visual depictions.

The games you absolutely cannot miss

The top two games which we think should be on everyone’s playlist as a “must” are as follows.

Spider-man : Miles Morales – The first thought from everyone was that this is a sequel to the previous game. However, that misconception was cleared when it was announced as a stand-alone. Miles Morales over here is a young man fighting crime in his own way. It looks like he is the only Spiderman here in this New York. Everything, from the character design to fight sequences, it looks top notch. This is definitely one of the most awaited games from PS 5.

Gran Turismo 7– The last Gran Turismo game came out about 3 years ago, and ever since we have been waiting patiently. The entire world looks as realistic as a movie, although it would not have free roam, we are still looking forward to it. Gran Turismo games always offer something new for the racing enthusiasts, and hopefully this will deliver on that promise too.

Special Mentions

The games on this list are not PlayStation exclusives, yet we feel they deserve a right to be here.

Stray – This one is perhaps the most out-of-the-box game we have seen so far. With the atmosphere resembling a post-technological humanoid world, the protagonist looks to be a cat. The entire game trailer resembled of a human world, lacking humans – a unique concept. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it is certainly one you wouldn’t want to miss.

Hitman 3 – At last, as as special mention, we are  one of the most popular games ever in eSports history. This game might be concluding the Hitman trilogy plotline revolving around Agent 47. The open-world we see here is quite close-knit, and our hero is in deep waters. It won’t be out until January 2020, so the best we can do is wait patiently.
