PlayStation VR is quite a unique offering that Xbox lacks. This may not have been the biggest USP of PlayStation, but it has definitely helped them get an edge over its competitors. Since its launch in 2016, PS VR has sold 5 million units globally. This barely matches the 130m+ units sold of the PS4, but is still a fantastic achievement. Clearly, there are big things planned for the PS VR, but it will take a while to materialize.
Unfortunately, there won’t be a new PS VR tech for the PS5. Instead, the VR modules will be compatible with the PS5 and the PlayStation Camera. Although, this doesn’t mean that Sony will not release new titles too.
