Rafael Nadal:- “Staying by the Sea Makes me Calm”

Rafael Nadal, who hails from Manacor, has always expressed his love for sea food. The Spaniard, who is now preparing for a start of the clay court season, spoke about how he has always been a man of simple tastes and revealed that he spends his money very wisely.

“I have a good life but I do not make crazy expenses”, said Rafael Nadal in an exclusive interview with IoDonna. “I’d rather invest on social projects like my foundation that helps the kids getting educated and my academy(Rafa Nadal academy) where I can make new talents grow, and then I have a lot of private projects“, said Rafael Nadal.

Rafael Nadal also spoke about his love for the occean and how when he got his first big sponsor in his career, he went out and got himself a boat! “At 18 years old my sponsor was the car brand Kia and as soon as I could, I bought a boat”, smile Rafael Nadal. “I live in Manacor, the island where I was born”, continued Rafael Nadal. “Staying by the sea makes me calm- I like sleeping in a boat and go fishing”,  Nadal added.

The Spaniard who has had a difficult start to the 2019 season, will look to turn around his season as he heads into the clay court season. Rafael Nadal, will enter the season as the strong favorite as he heads out to defend a handful of titles on the dirt. With Roger Federer also deciding to participate in the clay court swing this year, it is surely going to be a jam-packed and exciting field to boast about as we head into the 2019 clay court season.

Rafa had nothing but nice words to say about his long time nemesis Roger Federer. “I would not speak of friendship”, said Rafael Nadal.  “With Federer, I have a fantastic relationship”, he continued. “But my motivation on court does not change depending on who I am in front of.”
