Red Bull F1 Seat Still The Ultimate Target for Pierre Gasly

Pierre Gasly was talking to reporters during the Alpha Tauri launch. And he admitted that he is targeting a return to Red Bull F1 in the coming season. When asked about his goal for the future He said, “It’s too early to talk about it, but of course I want to be in the fastest car available”
“My personal goal is to fight for victories and championships in the future and obviously Red Bull can provide me with a car for that.”
Adding to that he said that currently, his prime focus is on performing well with Alpha Tauri. And will be looking for some top 5 finishes with the team. He said, “My head and my energy are currently completely at Alpha Tauri. We have a lot of work ahead of us.”

On talking about his struggle at Red Bull F1 last year he said that he doesn’t want to look back.

He added, “There were many unfortunate moments last year, but that’s what happened. I cannot change the past, I can only influence the future”
A Good Recovery for Pierre Gasly After His Demotion
Last year, Pierre was demoted midseason after just 12 races by the Red Bull F1 team because of poor performance. Moreover, his best performance at the team was a $th place which came in the Britain GP. He was replaced by the team’s junior driver Alex Albon. Pierre joined Toro Rosso in place of Albon and partnered with Daniil Kvyat for the remaining season. Coincidently, Red Bull demoted Kvyat in a similar fashion back in 2016. Kvyat was replaced by Max Verstappen after his one too many on-track mishaps.

Pierre had a good recovery from his bad form at Toro Rosso and even scored a podium finish with the team in Brazil. He finished the race at 2nd and shared the podium with ex-teammate Max who won the race.
