Recently, Marian spoke about Novak’s recent performance at the Australian Open. He regrets not being beside him while the Serb lifted his 18th Grand Slam title. He gave an insight into the preparations prior to Novak’s departure to Australia and was content that his training came to use in the final of the tournament.

The 55-year-old coach said, “I was sorry I wasn’t there. I will never forget when he won his first Melbourne title in 2008 and what was going on in the locker room. I wish I was with him now. We were together in Marbella, during December.

Vajda also confirmed his presence in the Djokovic camp at Roland Garros, scheduled later this year.

The Slovak provided an update regarding the 33-year-old’s schedule for the season ahead, citing Djokovic will lessen the number of tournaments.
