Robert Kubica return: Jacques Villeneuve says it’s a ‘wrong message’ for the sport
One of the old guards of F1 is back. And usually, when something like that happens, then it’s always a bright sign for the sport- isn’t it?
Till as recently as the time right before the start of the 2019 F1 season, it was being said that one of the finest things to look forward to in 2019 was Polish driver Robert Kubica returning to F1.
And undoubtedly, the Pole is among the finest on the grid. But unfortunately, in registering no points at the 2019 Australian Grand Prix, Kubica stitched a less than glorious return to the top echelons of motor-sport.

That said, former F1 driver, Jack Villeneuve has had some observations regarding Robert Kubica, currently behind the wheel of a Williams.
Apparently, Jacques Villeneuve feels that Kubica’s return is a “wrong message” for F1.
So why is that and what is it about the Williams driver that has made the Canadian think so?
Villeneuve is of the view that owing to the serious injuries sustained by Robert, it might make his comeback journey a bit arduous. To elaborate, given F1’s reputation- it being the pinnacle of motor-racing- would make it automatically hard for the Williams driver to compete.

This, lest it is forgotten, is at the back of Kubica having sustained life-threatening injuries back in 2011, an episode which severely cut short his career and in some ways, affects him, to this day.
The following were the quotes of Villeneuve in regards to the 34-year-old racing driver:
“It is, of course, a great achievement that Kubica has returned after so many years, really unbelievable,” Villeneuve is quoted by Formula 1.

“If you have done something that you love and that you have taken away, you know what you are missing. Then you will work even harder to get it back.”
All said and done, do you agree with the observations made by the Canadian?
