Roberto Bautista Agut Forced to Miss His Own Bachelor Party

Roberto Bautista Agut underestimated himself at the Wimbledon Championships 2019 which led him to miss his bachelor’s party with his friends in Ibiza, an island in the Mediterranean sea in Spain.

Roberto Bautista Agut is the last hope left to upset the ‘Big 3’ at the Wimbledon Championships 2019 as he plays world no. 1, Novak Djokovic in the first men’s semifinals at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

However, the Spaniard did not expect himself to go so far at the Championships as he had already booked his holiday trip to Ibiza during this time. Roberto Bautista Agut, however, was forced to change his pre-marital plans this week as he reaches the last four of a grand slam event for the first time in his career.

Roberto Bautista defeated Guido Pella in four sets in quarterfinals on Wednesday. In a post-match press conference, the Spaniard revealed that he would have been in Ibiza right now. He also divulged that a group of his friends had flown to Ibiza for his stag do as the world no. 22 is getting married later this year.

He said, “I had planned to be in Ibiza right now. We had everything organized and six of my friends are there.”

However, the 31-year, -old feels delighted to stay in London as he may get a chance to party, this weekend. He said, “Well, it feels better to be here in London.”

Roberto Bautista Agut defeated the Serb in their previous two meetings and feels that he can repeat the result again. “He is the champion but I want to go out and win the match. I do not think I intimidate him but I am sure I am uncomfortable for him. There are times when I put him against the ropes. I think it is going to be similar to the matches I have played against him in the past,” he said.
