Preparations for the Laver Cup 2019 have got underway with the elite tennis players arriving in Geneva and strategizing their game plan with their respective teams. Roger Federer drew a comparison between both the teams, he mocked Team World and termed them as ‘loud and crazy’.

“Preparations are already underway, we are looking who is going to practice together, where are we going to have dinner, etc. We have a good team spirit, maybe not as loud and crazy as Team World, sometimes I just have to look over and smile,” Roger Federer said.

Team World comprises of John Isner, Milos RaonicNick Kyrgios, Jack Sock, Taylor Fritz and Denis Shapovalov, and Federer taunted those ATP men to be clamorous.

Federer and Nadal will be teaming up for the second time at Laver Cup and they might play a doubles match once again. The tennis followers will be thrilled to see 39 Grand Slam titles competing from the same side of the tennis court.

With Rafa on the brink of breaking Roger’s Grand Slam roll and Federer is delighted with the Spaniard performance on the ATP track this year.

“Looking forward to spending time with Rafa and all the other superstars. Hope we play another doubles match. I was happy for him he had such a great year. Of course, he’s close now but it doesn’t disturb me, it’s even nice to celebrate this for him this week,” he continued.

Laver Cup has now become part of the ATP Tour, however, no ranking points will be awarded to the players. Over the past two seasons, Team Europe has been victorious in the pleasure event of tennis. This year, Team Europe is led by Björn Borg and Team World is captained by John McEnroe.
