A day after Anushka Sharma posted a strong post on Twitter in response to the fake news spread on her- as Virat Kohli’s wife, Indian limited overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma responded to the claims in an event in Delhi.

The post from the Indian captain’s wife came after the former Indian wicket-keeper Farokh Engineer, while expressing his disappointment on Indian selectors, talked about one of the selection panel members doing nothing but serving tea to Anushka Sharma.

Following the comments from Engineer, the Bollywood actress took to twitter to express all the things that she had been going through as the girl friend first and a wife now of a superstar Indian cricketer. Although she did not explicitly mention the name of Farokh Engineer, it was one of the reasons for her to break silence.

“Neither am I the President nor the regular captain. So what should I say about this? So ask Farokh Engineer why did he say that? I haven’t said anything, so, what should I say? I cannot go into Farokh Sir’s head and see why he said that? Right?” Rohit Sharma said in the event as per NNIS Sports News.

Rohit Sharma is set to lead India against Bangladesh with Kohli rested. The tour is set to begin on November 3 with the first T20I in Delhi. Talking about captaincy, Rohit said: “These (captaincy) things are not in our hands. Whether you captain one or 100 matches, it is an honour.”

“When we were growing up, it was all about playing for the country. I have captained the team and the experience has been good and I don’t think about for how long I should be made captain. Whenever I get the chance to captain the team, I try and enjoy that,” he said.
