WWE Legend, The Undertaker has been known to keep Kayfabe because he wanted to be secretive about his personal life. This changed when the Phenom agreed to let cameras follow him and show his real self in the ‘Last Ride’ documentary which follows the last 3 years of his career. The trailer of the documentary:

The documentary is brutally honest about his career. The Deadman has seen the effects of old age. The first few episodes focus on Taker’s WrestleMania match against Roman Reigns. The Deadman is unimpressed with his lackluster performance. In the documentary, while looking at his match against Roman he states:

“I am trying my hardest to will myself through this. Ugh… I feel bad for Roman. You dream about that match to be in that match, tearing the house down. And I was not able to give him that. And that bothers me. I can make excuses all day long. Excuses are like a**holes, everybody has one. It’s like I don’t even know where I am supposed to be.

“I have not spoken to him about it. He is probably looking at me and thinking about what was that guy all about. It’s really disappointing. I am sure he did when he watched it back.”

No one knew what to expect because of its vagueness. What the fans got was a cinematic natch treat which saw the Deadman burying the ‘Phenomenal One’ alive.

The Deadman will still be part of the WWE for the near future. He recently signed a 15-year contract. This means that at least for the next decade the fans would see the Undertaker and by the looks of his physicality, we can expect a lot of cinematic matches as that is where the character Undertaker will thrive.

Only Vince knows how to use the character and he will use it to keep the legend going.
