Dominic Thiem is probably the brightest star amongst the next generation. Having won his first Grand Slam at the US Open this year, he promises to be the most exciting prospect. Going by his current form, it would be fair to consider Thiem as a contender for majors in the future.
Dominic considers Cristiano Ronaldo a notch higher than his long-time rival, Lionel Messi. The statistics to his name speak volumes. He finds Ronaldo to be a complete player who has a goal-scoring ability like no other. Of course, he is also in awe of Messi’s greatness when he’s with the ball.
Recently, in an interview, the Austrian-born gave an insight into his favorite sporting personalities. When asked who he liked between Messi and Ronaldo, he answered, “I consider both as top stars. Ronaldo is slightly ahead, this is just a gut feeling. His scoring numbers are out of this world, he scores from every possible position.”

“Watching him [Ronaldinho!] was a lot of fun. Ronaldo, an unforgettable scoring machine. In Brazil Pele is worshipped like a god, I noticed that when I was in Rio,” said Thiem. However, Chelsea still remains his favorite club.
