In NCAA, cutting the net after winning a championship match is a long tradition. The coach keeps it as a souvenir of an amazing title run. In 1999, when Carolyn Peck won the title, she got the net for herself. In 2015, just 2 years before the title run by Staley with South Carolina, Peck gave a part of her championship net to her, and in 2021, 4 years after winning the net herself, Staley decided to keep the tradition alive.
