There are a few men in soccer who has achieved legendary status despite only touching a soccer ball once on the pitch at the highest level. These men are all managers or former managers of a team. One such name among many great managers is the name that took multiple teams to the peak. Jose Mourinho coached soccer behemoths like Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, and now is with AS Roma. He won almost every trophy he laid his eyes on, and many times pulled miracles with teams that can only be defined as underdogs.

Currently, he is in a bit of a slump since he went to Tottenham Hotspur from Manchester United. However, back in the 2000s and 10s, he was the most feared manager. From his recent social media posts, it looks like he is ready to go back to his former form. In a league dominated by Napoli, Roma is eying a top 3 place sitting in 4th neck and neck with Lazio.

Roma Boss is enjoying the team’s performance in Europa League as they just got a 2-0 aggregate in leg 1 of the round of 16. He posted a pic, a few hours back doing his signature cross-arms. It was a collaboration with Adidas and Hublot. The last time Jose Mourinho crossed arms and got attention he got fined 35k Pounds (42, 118 USD at today’s rate).

It came back in 2010 when he was taking Milan to a historical UEFA Champions League run. Although this story came from a Serie A match. His team was facing a rather weaker Sampdoria. The game was looking like it was heading toward a goalless result. Disappointed and angry towards the referee, Mourinho did his now famous cross arms regretted it a couple of days later.

He was fined around $42k, and he got banned from the sideline for three matches. According to a 2010 report from the Daily Mail, Mourinho’s antics led to referees threatening to go on strike. Thankfully, the ban didn’t affect Milan’s matches against Chelsea in the UCL round of 16.
