“Couldn’t Take Any More Running”- Brazilian $7.4 Million Player Fails to Emulate Cristiano Ronaldo’s Monster Fitness Diet

If the athlete wants to have longevity in the sports, the athlete needs to have better fitness and physique. Fitness comes through following stringent workouts every day. But it’s not only training a substantial diet that also plays a crucial role in the fitness of the player. When it comes to soccer, who is better than Cristiano Ronaldo can be an example of having optimum physique and longevity in the sport. 

But is it easy to copy a player like Ronaldo and his fitness regime? The answer is no. That’s what Brazilian club Palmeiras player thinks. He tried to follow the strict diet plan of the Al Nassr forward and was worn out during the game and had to be substituted in the early moments.

Palmeiras defender fails to emulate Cristiano Ronaldo

The 22-year-old Brazilian soccer player Gabriel Menino recently shared the story of following the diet of the Portuguese legend. He was speaking to Palmeiras Cast. The defender called the nutritionist of the club and asked her to make a diet plan similar to the former Manchester United player. After following the diet, the player was exhausted during the warm-up to the game. 

“I was warming up and couldn’t take any more running. I just thought, ‘I’m going to die.’ Five minutes into the game, I couldn’t run anymore, I would need to be substituted. She [Mirtes] saw from above that I was not well. She asked the masseur to bring me gel and isotonic. I took advantage of the fact that Weverton was in attendance and consumed it,” Menino told the Palmeiras Cast.

He also shed some light on the diet and training regime of the Portuguese. According to the Brazilian, the diet included a breakfast of an egg and a supplement. For lunch, it was grilled meat and salad followed by a supplement. For dinner, it was grilled meat and salad, followed by a supplement before going to the bed. However, the 22-year-old wasn’t able to copy the diet and had to change the diet plan. 

Al Nassr Nutritionist impressed with Ronaldo’s impact

Recently Nutritionist of the Saudi Arabian Club, Jose Belsa, shared the impact Cristiano Ronaldo is having on his teammates after his arrival. According to him, the five times Ballon d’Or winner is the most professional soccer player he has worked with.

Belsa states that every player at Al Nassr has practically improved by 90% since the arrival of the former Real Madrid legend. Players are taking the workout and diet seriously and try to be in the optimum playing condition in every game. It is not only helping the players but the club too.
