Deadpool Superstar Ryan Reynolds Hits Out at Big Budget Streamers as He Finally Announces a Destination to Stream Wrexham AFC Matches Globally

Ryan Reynolds has always been in the public eye. The Deadpool star has been very vocal since he took over Wrexham AFC. The Welsh soccer side is currently playing in the Vanarama National League. Reynolds will desperately look to climb out of the league after just missing promotion by a whisker last season. Ahead of Wrexham AFC’s game against Maidstone United, Reynolds had an important announcement to make.

Reynolds was happy to announce that people from all over the world can now watch his team’s games.

Ryan Reynolds’ special announcement to the fans!

The fans were really excited since Day 1 after Ryan Reynolds and his fellow actor Rob McElhenney took over Wrexham AFC. However, the viewership of the Vanarama National League is extremely limited to locals of that area due to the league’s position in the English soccer pyramid. Since the takeover, Wrexham AFC has garnered fans from all over the globe due to Reynolds’ presence at the club.

Fans were quite excited after hearing the news. In that tweet, Reynolds wrote, “Move over Big Streaming. http://nationalleaguetv.com is here. Watch @maidstoneunited vs @wrexham_afc”. The Deadpool star also posted a video and spoke about the last time when Wrexham AFC clashed against Maidstone United. At home itself, Wrexham AFC thrashed Maidstone United 5-0 the last time they met. English striker, Paul Mullin, also scored his first hat trick during that game.

In the video, Reynolds mentioned that Maidstone United will have a “sizeable” appetite to try to cause an upset. Wrexham AFC is currently sitting in 2 position on the points table. However, the Welsh soccer side will look to finish this season in 1 place and gain an ‘automatic’ promotion rather than getting into the playoffs.

Ryan Reynolds has not had the easiest time after he shockingly took over Wrexham AFC. Just a few months into his tenure as a co-owner, Reynolds had a few words to say in the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary. Reynolds said, “I’ve only been an owner of a football club for a short time. But so far, I’ve found it to be very time-consuming, emotionally exhausting, financially idiotic, utterly addictive”.

It’s been a long journey this season for the Welsh soccer side. The fans will be extremely nervous as Wrexham AFC approaches the business end of the season. Notts County is currently a strong contender along with Wrexham AFC for automatic promotion. However, there’s just one spot for getting promoted without going through the playoffs.
