Five-time world champions Brazil entered the 2022 FIFA World Cup as one of the favorites. They opened their campaign with an emphatic 2-0 win over Serbia. Richarlison made headlines as his brace powered Brazil to a comfortable win over Serbia. However, despite the win, Richarlison and Neymar became two of the biggest talking points in the tournament.

While Richarlison made headlines for his insane bicycle volley goal vs Serbia, Neymar got injured, ruling him out for the rest of the group stages. Neymar wasn’t in the lineup to face Switzerland, but his doppelgänger managed to dupe some fans in the stands.

Neymar injured his ankle during Brazil’s 2-0 win over Serbia. Tite had to make a substitute to take Neymar off. After a few tests, it was revealed that the 30-year-old will be out for the next two games. However, a few reports have suggested that Tite might call him for the final group game.

Tite didn’t name Neymar in the starting lineup for Brazil’s 1-0 win over Switzerland. However, his doppelgänger stole the spotlight ahead of the game, as several fans thought he was the real one.

Fans flock to take selfies with Neymar Jr’s doppelgänger

Stadium 974 was full of fans from Brazil and Switzerland as both teams played their 2nd game of the ongoing world cup. A fake Neymar managed to fool several Brazil fans ahead of the game. Many fans were taking selfies with him.

There was a massive crowd around the fake Neymar as fans struggled to take a selfie with him. TV channels covered it on live television as well. However, fans were able to spot that it wasn’t the real Neymar. A few days back, many spotted a fake Neymar on the streets of Doha. From far away, it was hard to spot any difference, as the doppelgänger appeared very convincing.

Same as today, fans were rushing toward the doppelgänger for a picture. The ongoing world cup in Qatar has been full of surprises with entertainment. Not just on the pitch, but it has been a big headline maker off the pitch as well. However, it has also faced a fair share of criticism due to human rights issues and the controversy around hosting rights.

A second consecutive win means that the five-time champion is going to the knockouts of the competition for the 14th straight time. Richarlison was the hero in their previous game against Serbia as he scored a brace.
