The world of soccer appreciates what Ryan Reynolds did with Wrexham AFC. He completely transformed the club from the perils of extinction to become one of the most popular clubs in the world. And now, he wants to invest in the world of the NHL.

Significantly, the actor is now interested in investing with the NHL team Ottawa Senators. But what is interesting is how Joe Biden has an affinity towards the NHL. Amid the potential $925 million investment from Reynolds, Biden explained how he is a fan of Canadian NHL teams.

He arrived in Canada to announce the northern border deal and fentanyl coalition with his country. But while giving the speech, Biden opened up about his love for Canadian Ice Hockey teams and did not shy away from explaining how he was not a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Joe Biden is not a fan of the Maple Leafs

The press meet happened in Ottawa, and he gave a speech to discuss his love for Canadian sports. According to Fox News, he commented, “Our revenues cross borders. So do our sports leagues. Baseball, basketball, hockey. I have to say, I like your teams, except the [Toronto Maple] Leafs.” Considering he was in Ottawa, the home of the NHL’s Senators, the fans gave him a standing ovation for the splendid line.

With the current support they have in Canada, Reynolds would love to invest in the team. The sensational actor is planning on a bid to take over the reins of the NHL team. He is preparing to launch a bid with Toronto-based real estate developer, The Remington Group.

The deal has been boiling for some time now, as Reynolds wants to make his mark on another sports team. Fears loom in Ottawa about a potential location change as Reynolds squashed those rumors away as he plans to keep the franchise on the river banks of Ottawa.
