It’s been a couple of months since Shakira took the jabs at the former soccer star Gerard pique. In a collaboration with Argentinian musician Bizarrap Shakira took a couple of lines to address her recent breakup. She took a shot at Pique by comparing herself with his now girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. While it has been a wild ride, Pique has remained quiet on this for the most part. He had referenced and gave ironic clap backs to the diss track.
Shakira compared herself with the Rolex in watches and Ferrari in Cars. She then said that Pique had replaced them with Casio and Renault Twingo. The highly controversial track acted as a bombshell for the fans, weeks later Shakira would tell that one of her sons motivated her to work with Bizarrap. Fans meanwhile would see Pique ironically clapping back to the statements made in the track. He would go on to sign Casio as the sponsor of his Kings League and was seen driving to a match in a Twingo.

Ever since the track dropped fans witnessed a wild ride of events. In a storyline that can easily be a Netflix teen drama, fans saw unbelievable events like Pique and his new girlfriend getting kicked out of a restaurant because the owner was a Shakira fan. After a couple of months of silence, Pique finally talked about the track and how he feel about it.
In a talk with Rac 1, Pique said, “I have heard the song. I don’t want to talk about the subject… People have responsibilities, especially those of us who are parents must try to protect our children. I don’t want to say anything more, everyone makes the decisions. I don’t want to talk more about the issue, all I want is that they are well.”
