The Spaniard’s legal advisor recently revealed the nightmare that they faced while agreeing on a settlement with the Colombian singer.

Contract negotiations between Pique and Shakira weren’t the easiest!

Gerard Pique’s lawyer, Ramon Tamborero, recently revealed some sensitive information about the celebrity couple’s separation agreement. The advocate also revealed the reason why the contract took months to finally finish. Tamborero claimed that money was never the issue between the celebrity duo. The agreement on the possession of kids is what took the most time to agree upon. The Colombian star wanted to take the kids and permanently move to Miami.

The Barcelona legend eventually agreed to most of Shakira’s terms, but with a few conditions. His lawyer claims that Pique wanted a sufficient amount of time to visit the kids. That was one of the main points that took the longest to mutually agree with. As translated by Hola, Tamborero told La Vanguardia, “Songs aside, it required a seven-month negotiation. The agreement was complex and required preparatory meetings. The decisive meeting before the signing lasted thirteen hours”.

However, he then revealed that the contract didn’t take too long after both parties agreed on the terms and conditions. He concluded by saying, “Once everything was settled, the final signing only took fifteen minutes”.
