After releasing Cristiano Ronaldo back in November of 2022, fans of Manchester United were left wondering if the club would make any new signings to replace the now 37-year-old striker. And it looks like fans are soon going to get their answer.

The replacement might possibly be the Dutch striker Wout Weghorst. Weghorst played a major role for Nertharland in the FIFA World Cup. And his most notable moment came in the quarter-finals against the world champions Argentina.

After being subbed off the bench, Weghorst scored two beautiful goals to equalize the score in the dying minutes and push the match into penalties. Unfortunately, in the penalty shoot-out, they lost to Argentina but Weghorst definitely made his mark.

According to ESPN, Manchester United are in talks to sign the 30-year-old striker, Wout Weghorst, on a loan deal. Weghorst is currently playing with the Turkish side Besiktas after a loan move from Premiere League club Burnley. He could be a great addition to the United squad as he showed his talent in the FIFA World Cup.

Weghorst is a big and strong striker who is excellent in the air. He is also very good with his feet and is a clinical finisher. Weghorst is also very good at holding the ball up and bringing others into play. This would be a great signing for Manchester United and one that would certainly excite the fans.
