Shakira currently lives in Miami. Leaving Barcelona, she relocated to the USA last month in pursuit of stability next to family, friends, and the sea. Since then, she has made an appearance at quite a few sporting events. For instance, about a month ago, she attended the NBA play-in game between Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls. To every NBA fan’s delight, she was lucky enough to witness a Jimmy Butler masterclass along with her kids.

However, the NBA star was in a pickle a few days ago. On the 21st, he was issued a penalty of $25,000 days ago, just hours after Game 3 against the Boston Celtics of the Eastern Conference Finals. Meanwhile, the Colombian icon and her kids attended Game 4, rooting for their home team.

Just today, Butler’s Miami Heat played their fourth game in the ‘Best of 7’ final series against the Boston Celtics. After winning the first three games, Heat was heading into this game with a clear advantage. Interestingly, Shakira and her kids appeared at the game. After witnessing a major comeback by Butler last time, the celebrity NBA fans would have expected something similar.

However, it just didn’t click for Miami Heat this time. After three comprehensive wins over Boston Celtics, Butler failed to put on a winning display and seal a place in the NBA final. Despite the disappointing 99 – 116 scoreline, the 33-year-old led the score with 29 points and 5 assists. Still, it just wasn’t enough against Celtics’ Jayson Tatum’s 33-point haul along with 7 assists.

In the video, the Colombian and her sons seemingly leave the game earlier than everyone else. Milan and Sasha had both proudly sported Miami Heat jerseys. And this time, it just wasn’t meant to be. Without a doubt, it was a disappointing night for every Miami Heat fan at the arena.

Meanwhile, just days ago, the NBA slapped Butler with a shockingly $25,000 fine. Let’s dive deeper into the same.

Why did the NBA fine Jimmy Butler?

Miami Heat played their third game against Boston Celtics on Sunday. Butler’s Heat convincingly won the game with a final scoreline of 128–102. Yet, a slight controversy took place after the game. The 33-year-old NBA veteran did not turn up for the mandatory press conference with the media. He also never publicly stated a reason for his surprising absence.

Due to his absence from the presser, the NBA fined him $25,000. In the league statement, they wrote, “The fine results from Butler’s failure to participate in required media availability following Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 21”. Butler’s no-show was quite surprising because even the designated commentator announced that Butler would join the media presence at the podium very soon.
