The third seed in Premier League Manchester United just lost its 5-win streak. They didn’t lose the game but it was a goal each draw against 13th spot team Crystal Palace. The match was fairly one-sided till the last few minutes of the game. Many names showed up in this game, but the most notable one is surprisingly a USMNT star.

Manchester United gained the lead in the 44th minute, but despite having significantly higher possession, they failed to have more than 4 shots on target. Crystal Palace, on the other hand, had 5 shots on target.

Crystal fans are enjoying the results despite it being a draw. It is very reminiscent of a world cup 2022 match of USMNT. In the 2nd group stage match, team USA met the behemoth that had scored 6 goals in their previous match. England vs USA ended as a goalless draw. However, it sure felt like a USMNT victory.

The coach praised USMNT for performing against Manchester United

The match with Manchester United wasn’t easy for Crystal Palace it was widely predicted to be a Manchester United victory. But, a 91st-minute goal by winger Michael Olise broke the hearts of United fans as much as Olise deserves praise for his heroism, the coach also said kind words for the defense.

In the press conference after the match, Patrick Vieira talked about the game and the players that impacted the result. While talking about USMNT star Chris Richards, he said, “he was really good. I think defensively he was really strong, and of course you can see that he needs to play more game to build that kind of confidence. But, when he needed to defend, he did it and he did it well.“
