When Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over Wrexham AFC in 2021, it caught a lot of people by surprise. Also, he’s been fully invested in its success ever since becoming its owner.

Ryan Reynolds opened up about Wrexham

In a recent interview, Reynolds opened up about what the club means to him and why it’s such a special place for him and his family. “I look at this place like a church, it’s what it really is,” Reynolds said. “It’s bore a special place in my heart and in my entire family’s hearts and I think across the pond as well.”

The Deadpool star further added, “In Canada, where I’m from, people are obsessed with this club and this community and so are people in the United States. It’s been pretty incredible”. It is evident that Reynolds sees the club and its community as something more than just a soccer team.
