During the flow of the World Cup, one sad news has taken over the soccer world by storm. The Brazilian legend Pele is receiving palliative care after chemotherapy treatment for colon cancer. The treatment has stopped having the expected results. Pele, one of the greatest soccer players of all time, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday to re-evaluate his cancer treatment and was later diagnosed with a respiratory infection, according to medical reports. Many players from all around the world are tweeting to pray for the legend.

According to reports, doctors have diagnosed him with a respiratory infection, and they have stopped the chemotherapy. Pele is currently only getting treatment for the symptoms of the infection. Fans are in shock and are praying for the recovery of the legend of Brazil.

The whole world is praying

Soccer players and teams from all around the world are praying for the betterment of his condition.

He was diagnosed with cancer earlier and was going through chemotherapy. Last day, he visited the hospital for the evaluation of the treatment. After testing, doctors deduced that the chemotherapy had stopped giving out the desired result. Later, doctors diagnosed Pele with a respiratory infection as he complained of pain and difficulty breathing.

Pele played for Brazil from 1957 to 1971. He scored a staggering 77 goals in just 92 international appearances. Pele has also taken the team to win two World Cups, in 1962 and 1970.
