Cristiano Ronaldo is again in the headlines as new reports popped up suggesting a possible return to his former club Real Madrid. This news came to light after his former teammate and Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema got injured and is set to be out until the World Cup ends. As a result, the Portuguese star could likely leave his current club, Manchester United, in the transfer window in January. The English club has already started the process of canceling his two-year deal.

As per reports, Chelsea, Napoli, and Atletico Madrid are in the race to acquire his services. However, Cristiano Ronaldo has been wanting to reunite with his former club, Real Madrid, as he had the best records in his 9 years with Real Madrid, winning several trophies. Meanwhile, let’s also hope that Karim Benzema returns to his healthy form.

After Ronaldo left the European Champions in 2018, Karim Benzema has had more spotlight and has been crucial for the Spanish team to win more titles. Although the return rumors make headlines every now and then, Real Madrid has not responded positively to welcoming the legendary forward into the team once again.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview controversy 

Ronaldo is having a particularly rough season. First, his performance declined, and as a result, he wasn’t a starter. Then, he refused to leave the bench during a game against Tottenham and left the dugout.

Many people are questioning him for this action and are confused as to why he would do this. He recently appeared in an interview with Piers Morgan and accused the coach and Manchester United’s management of betraying him. This interview worked like gas on the fire, and everybody started talking about his future in the club and the sport.
