Saudi Pro League and Al Nassr were at the center of attraction overnight. They completed one of the enormous signings in the soccer world, Cristiano Ronaldo. The club made him the highest-paid athlete. His arrival helped the league enormously, especially because of the fan following the Portuguese brought. Now his recent views on the league will instill confidence in the Saudi soccer leaders.

Just yesterday, the Portuguese gave a detailed interview to the Saudi Pro League. He spoke about various facets. However, his views on the league garnered Arab fans’ attraction. “To speak about league, I think the league is very good,” Ronaldo stated. But he feels there’s a long way to go yet. “But we have many, many opportunities to still grow.”

Meanwhile, the Portuguese hailed the league and the local players. He said, “I think the league is good, competitive. We have very good teams, we have very good Arab players.” The Al Nassr forward shared a piece of advice on the infrastructure. He said, “The infrastructure, I think they need to improve a little bit more. Even the referees, the VAR system. I think they should be little quicker,” speaking about improvements in the league.

The five-time Ballon d’Or gave a significant update on his future while speaking about the league, “But I am happy here, I want to continue here, I will continue here.” He went on to predict the future of the Saudi Pro League after the next five years. He said, “And in my opinion if they continue to do the work that they want to do for the next five years, I think Saudi League can be the fifth in the world.”

Those are confidence-boosting words for the league organizers, and they will see the former Real Madrid superstar playing in the league next season.

Recently, the PSG coach announced the weekend game will be the last game for Lionel Messi in the PSG shirt. Al Hilal has already approached Messi with a mouth-watering offer. Other teams in contention are FC Barcelona and MLS side Inter Miami.

However, recent reports indicate Messi will accept the Al Hilal offer. He is not new to the country, as the Argentine is already the ambassador for Saudi Tourism. It will be a significant move for the league, with Ronaldo already on-board.
