Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, has a new announcement to make about FIFA WC 2020. With the first match of the World Cup just days away, he took it to his Twitter account, to announce that Twitter is the best place for the best coverage and announcements regarding FIFA World Cup. Twitter put that announcement under tight scrutiny and had fun while doing it. 

This reaction came after the changes Elon musk is making to Twitter. Recently, Twitter is going through deep trouble as employees mass resigned. #riptwitter was trending on the site. However, Elon said that he is not worried.

Twitter’s ‘The Elon problem’

Elon brought twitter for 44 Billion USD, and the deal was finalized on 27th October 2022. Elon came fireworks and fired the CEO and announced layoffs. After that, many people started criticizing his leadership on Twitter. After which, Elon announced an ultimatum. The ultimatum stirred up the whole world and people raged against his leadership.

Elon Musk said that all the employees have until 18th November to decide whether they want to continue or resign. He said that the employees have to either choose long and hardcore working hours or resign with a severance package. Thousands of employees have reportedly chosen the second option.

Fans responded to the announcement

Elon tweeted, “ First World Cup match on Sunday! Watch on Twitter for best coverage & real-time commentary.” This came after people started questioning if Twitter is dead. With this announcement, Elon Musk is hoping to put out a statement that ensures that Twitter 2.0 is here to stay and that he knows what he is doing.

Fans not only attacked Elon, but while they were at it, they also made fun of FIFA WC 2022. Twitter is having fun and the World Cup is less than a couple of days to go. Fans are eagerly waiting to see their favorite team play. More than 64 games will be played, teams are ready and so are fans. People are angry with FIFA officials because they recently banned the sale of beer during the event.
