World Cup is gliding towards its conclusion and we got two of the quarterfinalists yesterday from the two matches in the round of 16. In the upcoming matches on the knockout stage, France will face Poland and England will play against Senegal.

Every team is doing their best, but only 8 can make it to the tournament’s next stage. Memphis Depay came under the crosshairs of Twitter when he posted a tweet for Charles Barkley.

The environment surrounding the World Cup is getting fierce as trash talk is becoming more and more prevalent. Memphis Depay got the last laugh

Before the Netherlands and the USA match, Charles Barkley got a bit aggressive with the trash talk. While predicting a USMNT win, he said, “We opening up a can of whoop-a**. I guarantee the Netherlands is in trouble.”

However, to the horror of Charles and all USMNT fans, the Netherlands walked all over the USA beating them 3-1. It was after the win, Memphis posted the screenshot of the final score and a picture of Barkley captioned it, “Lotta bark, No bite“.

Lionel Messi also won the Man Of The Match award for the match and beat Cristiano Ronaldo for most MOTM awards in the World Cup.
