“You Won’t Catch Me Losing a Cheque Over Farts” – Megan Rapinoe Hilariously Reacted to a Soccer Player Demoted for “Farting and Laughing” Back in 2022

Soccer can be hilarious sometimes. Last year, it shocked the soccer world when a player got fired for ‘farting and laughing’. It shocked everybody and generated a significant buzz all over the internet. Many stars talked about the French Club Olympique Lyonnais aka Lyon fired Brazilian defender Marcelo.

ESPN reported that the real reason behind his dropping is that the soccer player keeps on ‘farting and laughing’ around fellow players and management. USWNT star Megan Rapinoe discussed the same case in a recent clip with Yahoo Sports.

The star defender had 15 years of experience in his name and is currently playing for Western Sydney Wanderers. The 35 years old now plays as a center-back in the Australian League. Megan Rapinoe confirmed that they dropped the star player for the same reason reported by ESPN.

Megan Rapinoe talked about Marcelo

The host asked if Megan Rapinoe had heard about the soccer player getting fired for farting. She had not only heard, but also had asked around to confirm if the news was correct. While talking in the clip she provided her views on how she felt about the player getting fired for farting.

Megan Rapinoe said, “That’s far out, losing a cheque because you are farting and laughing around that’s just like, I did reach out to a homie in Lyon, they said it was true. You know sometimes the French, they can be a little uptight maybe, just 1 or 2 farts and then I don’t know what happened. I just saw that today and I’m just like.. you won’t catch me losing a cheque over farts… obviously, there is something more going on. We are gonna need to get down to the bottom of that. It could be a digestion issue or allergy.“

It is a hilarious clip watching Megan Rapinoe trying to discuss a player farting. She also confirmed that somewhere down the line farting did play a role in his getting fired.

Preparation for World Cup 2023

While the world celebrated the new year USWNT begin their preparation for the training for the World Cup 2023. It is set to be played in July this year in Australia and New Zealand. The USWNT had won the last two editions of the tournament.
