Serena Williams is one of the biggest promoters of women’s soccer in the USA. She along with her husband Alexis Ohanian has been at a pinnacle in promoting women’s soccer. Not only that, she is impressed by USWNT to an extent that she has now invested in her soccer team with Alexis and Hollywood star Natalie Portman. This newfound love of the sports Serena Williams is not new at all, in fact, today we have with us a Tweet from 2011 where she talked about soccer.
Angel City FC is the biggest example of a woman’s lead group. Watching how they are handling managing the team and marketing not only the team but the whole NWSL. In this ownership group, major stocks are owned by women. This might not have been the dream of the tennis star, but it sure is better.

I could design them…” It is quite clear that the tennis star has been thinking about soccer for longer than we thought. Well, lady soccer players might not play in cute tennis dresses. However, she did get to provide her insights into designing the soccer kit worn by Angel City FC in their first season. Not only Serena, but her husband is also one of the leading voices in the team.
Alexis Ohanian talked about USMNT
Comparing the underwhelming performance of the USMNT in 2018 and the world domination by the USWNT in 2019, Alexis Ohanian blamed the weak system of US Soccer that is in place to scope out talent for the USMNT.
