The road to Finals for both the teams hasn’t been easy. The trend continued in the semifinals against Qatar as they scarped through to the Finals.

Mexico meanwhile had a comfortable victory against Honduras in quarters. But the semifinals against Canada was a different case all-together. With the score tied at 1-1, the game looked like it was headed for extra time. But Atletico midfielder Hector Herrera scored in the 9th minute of added time, leading his team to the Finals.
