PSG Rival Boss Asks Kylian Mbappe to Be More ‘Humble’ and ‘Behave’ to Succeed

Even at the mere age of 22, Kylian Mbappe is already up there with the very best. The Parisian’s raw talent has earned him quite the accolades already, notably making the young striker a World Cup winner. He significantly became the second teenager to score a goal in the World Cup final; the first being Pele.

Courtesy of consistent heroics for both club and country, the future is bright for Kylian. However, fans around the world are currently questioning his allegedly disappeared humility, given his recent actions. Notably, Metz Fc manager Frederic Antonetti had quite the advice for the phenomenon.

Metz manager offers advice to Kylian Mbappe

French League side Metz met Paris Saint Germain in this weekend’s clash, as the Les Grenats lost to a last-minute goal by Achraf Hakimi. FC Metz is yet to taste victory this season and currently lies at the bottom of the table. However, as if PSG’s last-minute winner didn’t do enough damage, Mbappe’s unsportsmanlike conduct further added to their anguish, frustrating already triggered players and fans.

After PSG cruised to glory within the final minutes of the game, Mbappe taunted the Metz goalkeeper during his team’s celebrations. Metz’s boss, Frederic Antonetti, offered some advice to Mbappe, as his behavior caused an unnecessary brawl during the match.

“Kylian Mbappe needs to behave better if he wants to be loved. I love this player, he is very, very strong, but he’d benefit from having a more humble side,” said Antonetti.

Despite being a sensational player, there are doubts regarding his temper and conduct on the field. Clearly, Pochettino needs to sharpen his man-management skills, given his star-studded squad’s infamous behavior.

The PSG team has always lacked the discipline to compete well on all fronts. Many people have even questioned Neymar’s influence on the young talent.

Ugly incidents in the match

The first notable incident happened during the second half when Mbappe kicked the ball right towards the goalpost. With the importance of fair play in mind, Mbappe seemed to have taken a shot towards the goal, as they were giving the ball back. The goalkeeper hassled to knock the ball away.

However, Hakimi’s stoppage-time winner saw Mbappe celebrating in front of the Metz goalkeeper, which angered the home team. As the goalkeeper rushed to question him, Neymar shoved him to the ground, causing the two teams to come to blows.

Hence, Metz’s boss spoke about the trouble Mbappe would face in the future if he fails to correct his demeanor. Although his talent is undeniable, many fans think he is not humble enough. What do you feel about the young sensation?
